With the chill of winter in the air and holiday break upon us, Physical Education class fires up the Wii for our annual Just Dance tournament.
The students spent two weeks dancing to all their favorite songs and competing for the coveted FMA Mirror Ball that would go to the champion. Throughout the two weeks of qualifying we had exciting matchups and close dances as the students worked and practiced to post their best score and most importantly have some fun playing and competing with their friends.
Mikey, Felicity, JP, and Anayia in the 5th grade went back and forth battling for the top spot over the course of the two weeks with it finally being decided the last day with Mikey posting the highest score in school history. The two weeks of dancing culminated in an all school dance party Friday afternoon where the kids were able to spend some time together dancing before all heading our separate directions for break.
Congratulations to Daicha (School Champion) in the 3rd grade, Maliah in the 1st grade, and JP and Anayia in the 5th grade for making it all the way to the championship round! It was a blast having you all dance with me in the gym for the two weeks and it was great seeing our whole school community come together for a huge dance party. Thanks to all who participated and came to watch! Hope everyone had a wonderful break!
