Paws & Tails Spring Concert

Paws & Tails Spring Concert
Posted on 06/05/2015
Our primary Spring Music Recital “Paws & Tails” took place on Friday, May 15th, 2015 at 8:30AM. It was a wonderful event with fun songs about animals and nature! The preschool and JK scholars performed six pieces: “Oh, My” (Soloists: Isaiah Jean-Baptiste and Alsen Jean, JK), “Standing Like a Tree”; “The Sun Is In My Heart”; “Little Bunny Foo-Foo” (Narrator: A’najae Vaughn, Preschool); “Mother Gooney Bird” and “The Lion Sleeps Tonight”.

Kindergarten presented the following songs: “1-2-3-4-5”; “Over In The Meadow”; “Going To The Zoo”; and “Shoo Fly/Skip To My Lou”. Our most experienced performers, the first graders, showed their amazing skills to sing and chant in parts, as well as their great ability to memorize long lyrics through the three selections: “Rooftop Rhythm”; “I Bought Me A Cat” and “Everybody Wants To Be A Cat”. The concert was beautifully accompanied by Ms. Deborah Hood-Brown on piano. What a way to celebrate Spring!
