Dear Fletcher Maynard Academy Families,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year. We are looking forward to a productive, high energy, fun, and collaborative school year with high expectations for all FMA community members. We welcome all of our returning families and extend a warm welcome to our new family members. As the demands of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we need to work together to insure our youngsters reach their potential. We know a strong partnership will make a huge difference. This year I’m asking you support your child’s learning by ensuring they do the following:
- Attend school daily and on time. School starts at 7:45AM, students are late after 7:50AM.
- Be in school uniform each day
- Completes all homework and assignments given by teachers
- Read daily to develop a love for reading and improve literacy skills
- Share school experiences with you so that you are aware of school life
I invite you to become an active participant in the FMA community through volunteering: becoming a room parent, joining our active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), our Spanish Program Organization, participating in our Courageous Conversations about Race and Class and coming out to support all school activities and events. Please also add to your calendar a couple of upcoming events.
As always our goal at FMA is to provide all students with the opportunity to excel in academics, athletics, and fine arts so that they may become positive, contributing members of our school and community.
