Hello FMA Families,

We have finished week EIGHT of distance learning and we are almost to the finish line. I know that this has been a difficult time for all of us. The transition to working and learning from home is a difficult one. I just want to thank all of the parents and guardians who have reached out to provide positive comments, suggestions/ideas for improvements or just general comments.

Just to note a few updates:

  • Please continue to reach out to your child’s teachers’ and let them know of any struggles or health issues that are occurring in your home. They have the delicate job of providing standards-based curriculum, which also meets the states standards, while also balancing the notion of not overwhelming their students and families. A very difficult balance that they are committed to.

  • Teachers are currently working on coordinated plans that will include more pre-recorded lessons that can be viewed at different times.

  • ELL students will continue to receive small group instruction.

  • We continue to seek your feedback. Please complete the Panorama Education Survey Online as soon as possible. We need to hear from you.

  • Teachers are working on ideas for a virtual 5th grade moving on celebration. If you have any ideas, please share them at the next parent zoom meeting tomorrow (Tuesday) @ 4PM.

Thank you once again for your continued support and rest assured, we will get thru this together.
