Dear FMA Community.
As we begin the month of June, I would like to give a few updates that pertain to winding down the school year. As always please reach out if you have questions or comments, 617.201.7817.

Student Summer Support
All students, JK-5 will be mailed a summer work packet. The packet, put together by district curriculum coordinators will include grade level materials in multiple content areas and 3-5 books depending on the grade level. In addition, students requiring additional support in ELA, math and social emotional learning, have been identified by classroom teachers and will be invited to attend a Summer Support Program. Invitations will be sent out next week. All 5th grade students will be invited to participate in special programs offered by the Upper Campus as well as the district. More information will be mailed directly to 5th grade families.
Retrieval of Student Belongings
On June 8th, 9th, and 10th parents have the option to come to the building between 10AM - 1PM to pick up student work and/or belongings left behind after the closing on March 13th. All items will be bagged and securely waiting on the playground. Signs will be posted with directions around social distancing. All left over bags will be thrown away. If you are unable to make it during the listed days and times, please call the school main office, 617.349.6588 and leave a message. We will arrange a different connection.
Year End Parent/Teacher Conferences
On June 15th and 16th teachers will hold virtual year-end conferences with parents. This will be an opportunity to celebrate success, and connect around literacy development, math learning, social emotional learning and recommendations for summer. Staff will be reaching out to schedule conferences. Specialist and support teachers will be providing live classes and recorded sessions throughout both days.
