Evan Allen, M.Ed.
Hi everyone, my name is Evan Allen, known to the kids as Coach Evan, and I have been teaching PE at the FMA since 2012. Prior to coming to the FMA I completed my undergraduate studies at Colby College with a major in History and concentration in Classical Civilizations and followed that up with completing my Masters in Elementary Education at the University of Southern Maine. While enrolled at Colby College I was a member of the Men’s Cross Country Running Team as well as the Men’s Nordic Ski Team. I have absolutely loved becoming part of the FMA community and look forward to working with all of your scholars in the coming school year! Mission Statement
The mission of the Cambridge Public School’s Health and Physical Education Department is to provide meaningful, relevant learning opportunities to support all students in developing the skills, knowledge and attitudes necessary to be healthy, physically active and engaged in their own health and wellbeing. During Health,Physical Education and Wellness class, students will develop competence in a variety of motor skills, will increase self-efficacy regarding their abilities to be physically active and control their health and develop health-enhancing attitudes. Upon completion of our program, students will be empowered to take control of their health and will be engaged in lifelong efforts to maintain and enhance their health.
