Staffing Updates
Longtime FMA custodian Leo Soriano retired this week. We are eternally grateful for his years of dedicated service to the staff and students at FMA and we wish him well in his retirement!

Ms. Sarah Fisenne will be leaving FMA at the end of the year. She shares the following:

"I wanted to let you all know I won’t be returning to FMA next year. My husband was offered his dream job, and we will be relocating for that to NC in August (closer to my family which is a bonus). I am sad to be leaving you all. You all have made me feel so welcomed at the school. I will miss all of you very much, as I will also miss the students. I will be working as an OT in the public schools in NC, and am looking forward to taking all the lessons and wisdom I have learned from you all with me to my new school district.

This past year has been a challenging year, but I am so glad that I had all of you by my side for it. I am looking forward to my family’s new adventure, and will cherish the time I had working with you all."

MCAS Updates
The science MCAS for GRADE 5 is May 25th and 26th. Again please mark your calendars with these dates. Please make sure your scholars get a good night’s rest, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time on testing days.

Sisters With a Dream Updates
Thank you so much for your support of the girls’ inventions! We submitted the girls’ entries into the Massachusetts Invention convention, where they received feedback from judges. Over 150 students from across the state participated! You can see the girls who submitted on the slideshow in the Awards Ceremony - Marianna’s Masks earned a Merit Award for the number of iterations she submitted!

Until Next Week,

Dr. Maisha Rounds
Principal
